This famous landmark is important in my life. It is said that it is the second most visited place in Ireland (the first one is, of course, the Guinness Factory), and I perfectly understand why. It was in 1994 when I first saw the Cliffs. After a short discussion with my boss at University, I decided to join a friend of mine and we both went to Barcelona and took a plane to Dublin. A few days later, we were in Doolin, rented two bikes and rode to the Cliffs. I was 24 years old and I got impressed by such magnificent, awesome scenery.Although the place was already a must be seen, the number of tourists was quite reduced compared to the current situation. It was possible to stroll along the Cliffs having some peace and quiet and enjoying the whole path.
Finding words to describe the Cliffs of Moher is really difficult . Its beauty makes the task almost impossible. You can describe the colours and the shapes, but you cannot express how the sea smells and the noise that waves produce when reaching the rocks. Neither can you tell what you feel when the wind strokes your face and shakes your hair. The infinite view, where the colourful sky and the emerald sea find themselves, makes you think about your own existence.
