Dublin I

Dublin is a very special city, not only for me but also for anybody who has had the opportunity to visit it. it would be impossible to describe the capital of Ireland in a few blog pages, so I am going to show some of the pictures I shot throughout my stay in the city.

We were hosted in the Glasnevin campus of the DCU. We were given a Leap card to travel to downtown whenever we wanted. And almost every day, after classes, we went to the city centre to have dinner or just walk down its buzzing streets.

These pictures were shot on Monday, July 30. A group of people went downtown to have dinner and visit some of the most exciting places in Dublin, near the Liffey River. We had time to get to St. Patricks Cathedral, although we did not visit it.

The Ha'penny Bridge, linking Temple Bar and Dublin's Italian Quarter.

Temple Bard: no words to describe it.

The old mill, a nice and traditional restaurant where we had dinner. I tried the famous Coddle.

I took this picture because it is the youth hostel where I was hosted the first time I was In Dublin, in 1993.

Christ Church and Dublinia, a children museum about the history of the country.

St. Patrick Cathedral, in Patrick Street.

And finally Dublin's Castle, near the first Viking settlement in Dublin.

Before going to my room, a picture of the green areas near the campus.
